Botify AI combines character chat with visual discovery and media generation. Its paid Creative offer makes the central tradeoff clear: conversation access and media energy are different entitlements. If you mainly want to create an original character and develop the scene yourself, Cherrypop’s creator is another direct route to compare.
Make sure you are comparing the companion product
The Botify.ai homepage identifies Ex-Human Inc. and exposes Create, Explore and Generate, alongside character discovery and a series section. This is the companion service discussed here. A similarly named enterprise search product and other domains can appear in search results; their plan tables do not establish Botify.ai’s prices or features.
That matters when researching a subscription. Match the website, developer and actual offer before importing a price from another result. A convincing comparison table is not useful if it describes a different product with the same name.
The Creative offer we saw
On the public character page, the selected Creative tab displayed US$29.99 per month or US$149.99 per year. The annual choice was selected and labelled as renewing annually. The offer included 1,000 energy each month, advertised as roughly twenty videos or two hundred photos, plus unlimited messages and other paid features.
The daily equivalents on a paywall are not daily billing. At the displayed prices, five monthly payments total US$149.95, slightly below the displayed annual charge; six total US$179.94. That makes the annual commitment potentially cheaper if you would otherwise keep paying for at least six months at that unchanged monthly rate. It does not establish refund rights or guarantee that the offer will remain available.
Twenty videos or two hundred photos is not both
The advertised alternatives imply approximately fifty energy per video or five per photo for the offer’s illustrative equivalents. They do not promise that every setting has the same charge. They also do not mean you receive twenty videos plus two hundred photos from one 1,000-energy balance.
| Illustrative use at those implied rates | Energy calculation | Remaining from 1,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Ten videos | 10 × 50 = 500 | 500 |
| Eighty photos after those videos | 80 × 5 = 400 | 100 |
| One more video after both | 1 × 50 = 50 | 50 |
These approximate equivalents are useful for a first budget, but check the actual selected operation’s charge, failed-job billing and rollover rules before paying. Completed outputs also are not automatically usable outputs; a version you decide to replace changes your creative budget.
Choose the workflow before the largest package
There are three different projects a reader might have in mind: browsing characters, returning to a conversation, or creating a set of visual outputs. The first is mainly a discovery choice. The second depends on the character and interaction you actually enjoy. The third needs an operation budget and a clear visual brief. A paid bundle can serve more than one, but the title of a tier does not tell you which matters most to you.
For a non-explicit creative example, suppose you want a portrait of an original 39-year-old jazz pianist backstage and then a short atmospheric clip. Decide on the character’s appearance and setting first. Keep one visual goal for each requested output; otherwise it becomes hard to know whether an extra generation improved the result or simply changed the brief.
Vendor claims about advanced roleplay or encrypted chats do not establish reliable long-conversation continuity or independently verified data protection.
Why a character creator might prefer Cherrypop
Cherrypop provides a guided character creation workflow with realistic and anime styles plus appearance and personality settings. Scenario, First Message and Additional Personality Details make it possible to define what the character is doing and how the interaction starts.
For the pianist concept, set the moment just before a rehearsal, give the character a thoughtful but playful conversational style, and write an opening question that invites the user to choose the first song. That gives the interaction a purpose beyond an attractive portrait. It does not require importing a Botify character or promising identical controls.
Cherrypop also offers image generation and a separate video-generation entry. It is free to start with limits; Premium or Cherries may be required. Compare the workflow you need and the actual offer, rather than treating the two services’ currencies as interchangeable.
Our verdict
Consider Botify AI if its character-and-media experience appeals to you, but keep subscription duration and energy use as separate decisions. If you want to begin by shaping an original companion, create that character on Cherrypop before expanding the media budget.
