Looking for Dreemy AI alternatives? Dreemy pitches itself as an all-in-one adult platform: uncensored character chat with no sign-up, an image generator and image-to-video. The details behind that pitch (what you pay, what plans include, what happens to what you make) are harder to pin down, which is usually when people start comparing.
Below: what Dreemy is, why people look elsewhere, and eight alternatives covering chat, character images and, for some, video, with dated prices from each vendor’s own pages.
Cherrypop.ai publishes this, and we make a competing AI companion app. Based on each vendor’s pricing and help pages and published user reports, as of September 2026.

What Dreemy AI Is
Dreemy AI (dreemy.ai) is a web platform for adult character roleplay with image and video generation built in. Its homepage says you can start chatting with any of its 200,000+ community-made characters without creating an account, and that core chat is free with no message caps. It also advertises more than 10 AI models, 64K+ tokens of memory and adjustable reply length. An account saves chat history, and you can build public or private bots.
On the media side, Dreemy offers text-to-image generation in anime, realistic, 3D and painting styles, plus an image-to-video tool that animates a generated picture into a short clip. Its terms require users to be 18 or older, prohibit realistic depictions of real people made without their consent, and bar use from mainland China and Hong Kong.
Pricing is not on a public page of its own site: prices appear inside its Upgrade screen. On Dreemy’s Boosty page, one of the checkouts its site links to, the 30-day plans as of September 27, 2026 are Standard at $19.40 (1,200 generation credits, 2K chat memory, a 700 maximum message length, 10 character creations a day), Premium at $24.30 (2,400 credits, 32K memory, 1,000 maximum length, 30 a day) and Deluxe at $29.20 (6,000 credits, 32K memory, 1,200 maximum length, unlimited character creation, permanent storage). Every tier lists unlimited daily messages. Credit packs for images and video start at $19.30 for 2,000 credits.
Why People Look for Dreemy AI Alternatives
- Unclear billing model. Dreemy’s refund page says it has no subscriptions and no auto-renewals, only credit packages. Its terms of service describe subscriptions that renew until you cancel in account settings. Check what you are buying before you pay.
- Memory depends on the plan. The homepage mentions 64K+ tokens of memory, while its Boosty listing puts the cheapest pass at 2K and the higher tiers at 32K.
- Strict refunds. Refunds need a request within 7 days, fewer than 30 messages sent, no more than 80 credits of images or video used and fewer than 5 bots created after purchase. Past that, its policy treats the package as consumed. Its terms, separately, call all payments non-refundable unless consumer law requires otherwise.
- What happens to public content. Per its terms, anything you set to public grants Dreemy a perpetual, irrevocable license to use it, including for training AI models. Private content is licensed only to run and improve the service.

You can also connect your own API key.
Janitor+ is the only paid plan, at $12.99 a month. It adds 5x more context, priority access for faster replies and monthly swipes (regenerations) with its best models. Chai does not publish a message cap, but its web paywall shows Basic with limited access to the character library and without its CHAI Ultra model or persisted memory.
Pro costs $159.99 a year (about $13.33 a month) or $9.99 a week, as of September 2026, with a 24-hour free trial that rolls into a paid plan unless you cancel. - Dreemy users who only occasionally want an image
7. Kindroid
Kindroid is a companion app built around one or two long-term characters rather than a big catalog, which suits you if Dreemy’s endless library felt shallow. Its help center calls it “a neutrally aligned, unfiltered AI” for chat, but notes that it filters NSFW in media generation for app-store compliance. Per its August 18, 2026 update log, the free Lite tier ends on October 1, 2026: new users then get a 50-interaction preview on the paid-quality model (15 in some regions), then an optional 3-day trial, then a subscription or a read-only account.
As of September 2026 the subscription costs $13.99 a month, $37.99 a quarter or $139.99 a year on the web, or $15.99, $42.99 and $159.99 through the app stores. Optional Ultra and MAX add-ons for larger memory raise the monthly total to $38.98 or $98.97 on the web. The trial needs a payment method and converts to a paid plan unless you cancel.
Key Highlights:
- 50-interaction free preview on the paid-quality model
- Web subscription from $13.99/month or $139.99/year
- Ultra and MAX add-ons for larger memory
- Detailed backstory and key-memory controls
- Selfies of your companion, with NSFW filtered in media
- Web, iOS and Android
Who It’s Best For:
- People who want one companion rather than hundreds
- Users who care most about long-term memory
- Anyone who mainly wants text over explicit images
- Tinkerers who like fine-grained character settings
8. SillyTavern
SillyTavern is the pick if you want nobody else’s platform rules or pricing in the way. Its documentation describes it as a locally installed interface for text generation models, image generation engines and text-to-speech, built for power users, and says it will always be free and open-source. It runs on anything with NodeJS 20 or higher, with installers for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and Docker.
The catch is that SillyTavern is only an interface: you bring the model. You can start with AI Horde, connect a cloud API you pay for, or run a model on your own machine (the docs recommend an NVIDIA 3000-series card with at least 6GB of VRAM for local use). Image generation works through extensions, with an image model you set up yourself.
Key Highlights:
- Free and open-source, with no subscription
- Works with AI Horde, cloud APIs and local backends
- Character cards, lorebooks, group chats and personas
- Extensions for image generation and text-to-speech

- Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and Docker
Who It’s Best For:
- Dreemy users who want full control over the model
- People with a capable GPU
- Privacy-minded users who want chats on their own hardware
- Tinkerers who enjoy presets and extensions
Dreemy AI Alternatives: FAQ
What is the best Dreemy AI alternative?
It depends on which part of Dreemy you use. For uncensored chat plus images of your character in one account, Cherrypop.ai covers both. If video is the main draw, OurDream and Candy.ai both generate it on paid plans. For free text roleplay, Janitor AI and SpicyChat both have free tiers built for it, and SillyTavern gives you full control if you run your own model.
Is Dreemy AI free?
Partly. Dreemy’s homepage and FAQ say core chat is free with unlimited messages and no sign-up needed. Images and video use generation credits, which come with paid plans or credit packs (from $19.30 for 2,000 credits on its Boosty page as of September 27, 2026). Free-tier generation limits are not published on its site.
Is there a free Dreemy AI alternative?
Yes. Janitor AI and SpicyChat both have free tiers for text roleplay, Chai has a free Basic plan, Kindroid offers a 50-interaction preview from October 1, 2026, and SillyTavern is free and open-source (model costs are yours). Cherrypop.ai is free to start, with limits. Image and video generation costs money almost everywhere.
Which sites like Dreemy AI do image to video?
Among the entries here, OurDream generates video at 100 coins per 5 seconds, and Candy.ai includes video paid with tokens on its Premium plans. For a wider look at dedicated tools, see our NSFW AI image-to-video generators roundup.
What happens to images I make public on Dreemy?
Per its terms of service, setting generated content to public grants Dreemy and its affiliates a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, modify and distribute it, including to train AI models. Content you keep private is licensed only as needed to run, secure and improve the service.
The Bottom Line
Dreemy packs chat, images and video into one site, but its plans, memory limits and billing terms take some digging to understand. If you want an uncensored companion with images of your character and that is free to start, with limits, start with Cherrypop.ai. If video is the priority, compare OurDream and Candy.ai on the coin and token math above. And if free text roleplay is all you need, Janitor AI and SpicyChat are the easiest places to begin.
