Kajiwoto is most interesting when you enjoy authoring how a character responds, rather than only choosing a personality from a feed. Its public description separates example responses, prompts and remembered summaries. That can suit a careful character-writing project. If you want a more guided appearance-and-personality setup, Cherrypop’s creator is another route to compare.
Datasets, prompts and memory do different jobs
The official homepage says datasets contain example responses sampled as prompts, the prompt editor selects relevant instructions, and memory prompts use short conversation summaries. That describes supplying context to a model. It does not establish that a user is training their own model weights.
| Material | Original example for an adult fictional character | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Response example | “I can repair the music box, but first tell me which tune it used to play.” | Demonstrate the character’s tone and habit of asking a question. |
| Instruction | Elias is a 47-year-old instrument restorer. He is patient and specific; leave the visitor’s actions for the user to choose. | Describe ongoing behavior. |
| Continuity note | The visitor brought a walnut music box. Its tune is still unknown. | Retain the current scene’s established facts. |
These examples show why adding more prose is not always the solution. If the character speaks in a style you dislike, revise the response example. If it forgets which object arrived, a concise continuity fact is more relevant than another paragraph of appearance description.
They also make revisions easier to understand. Change one requirement at a time and keep your own copy of the character concept. A model may not follow every instruction, but a contradictory setup makes it harder to tell what went wrong.
What the current monthly selector showed
On the pricing page, choosing Monthly for both paid tiers showed Plus at US$7.99 and Pro at US$29.99. The initial page displayed lower annual-equivalent figures; those should not be quoted as monthly billing. The comparison gives these limits:
| Limit | Free | Plus | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private rooms | 1 | 8 | 8 |
| Written prompts per room | 25 | 100 | 100 |
| Created Kajis | 20 | 100 | 100 |
The page retains older model labels and an undated “Available on Mar 20th” note on Pro. We have not verified the current underlying models or Pro availability in an account, so the public card alone does not settle those questions. The site also acknowledges differences between web and mobile features and purchase channels.
Which limit would actually justify paying?
Suppose you are organizing six original characters, each in a separate private room. The displayed one-room free limit would matter even though six characters is below the free creation count of twenty. Plus and Pro both show eight rooms, so Pro would not add value for that requirement alone.
At the inspected monthly rates, Pro costs US$22 more than Plus. Over three months that is an additional US$66 before taxes. Confirm availability and the specific account feature you need before deciding whether it is worth that difference; do not buy the more expensive tier because “more advanced” sounds reassuring.
Moderation and platform scope
Kajiwoto’s pricing FAQ describes moderation of generated text, datasets and images, including restrictions on sexual content and nudity. It should not be selected on an assumption of unrestricted adult generation. The same FAQ warns that some tools differ between web and mobile; a feature list is not proof of parity on every device.
That boundary helps with the choice. Kajiwoto can be relevant to an original-character or story-authoring project without being the right product for every form of roleplay. Match the intended activity to the platform’s stated rules rather than assuming all companion apps share the same scope.
Why consider Cherrypop?
Cherrypop’s creator offers realistic and anime styles, appearance and personality controls, and separate Scenario, First Message and Additional Personality Details fields. For an adult user building a companion, that gives the character a visual and conversational starting point in one guided workflow.
You can reuse your own Elias concept by placing the repair-shop visit in Scenario, his opening question in First Message and his patient style in the personality details. This is manual reuse of your original writing, not a promised Kajiwoto dataset import or the same prompt-selection engine.
Cherrypop supports character chat and separate image/video generation. It is free to start with limits; Premium or Cherries can be required for relevant features.
Our verdict
Kajiwoto is worth considering if detailed character authoring is part of the enjoyment. Choose a paid tier for a verified limit you need. For a guided character-and-scene setup, create your original character on Cherrypop.
