PepHop AI is worth considering if you want to browse character chats and select a monthly message allowance. The main purchase decision is how much of that allowance you will use. A cheaper rate per included message does not automatically make a larger plan better value. For a character you design yourself with chat and visual tools, Cherrypop’s creator offers another route.
What the PepHop AI plans include
The pricing page displayed these monthly amounts. It also showed a limited-time promotional banner, so these are captured advertised prices, not verified future renewal quotes.
| Plan | Displayed monthly price | Included messages | Cost per 1,000 if all are used |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $4.99 | 2,000 | About $2.50 |
| Classic | $9.99 | 5,000 | About $2.00 |
| Elite | $29.99 | 16,000 | About $1.87 |
The last column divides price by the included message count. It does not measure conversation quality or establish how requests and replies are counted. Classic and Elite list enhanced chat memory; Elite also lists priority for new features and support. Those labels do not disclose a tested recall rate.
At only 2,000 messages used, Classic costs roughly $5 per 1,000 used, compared with $2.50 on Lite. A larger allowance matters only when you need it or a specific included feature. Confirm the billing and usage rules before choosing.
Evaluate a character before comparing bigger allowances
The public catalog exposes character descriptions and tags. Use those to identify a starting situation you would actually enjoy, then judge the interaction itself. A popular card or an appealing avatar cannot tell you how well a particular conversation will follow the setup.
For a neutral evaluation, use your own original premise: a 40-year-old antique restorer is explaining how to identify the material of a damaged cabinet. State one fact, ask one concrete question and see whether the response gives you a useful next turn. Then introduce a small correction, such as changing the estimated date of the cabinet. Check whether the next response uses the correction rather than repeating the earlier assumption.
That is a suggested evaluation method, not a PepHop result. Keep the character and opening stable while comparing settings. If you switch to a different personality and a different scenario at the same time, you will not know what caused the improvement. Do not interpret a short successful exchange as evidence of permanent memory.
Visibility and imported characters need separate attention
PepHop’s FAQ says chats are private by default unless shared, and bots can be public or private. It also describes importing characters and asks users to keep a character they do not own private. These are published visibility rules, not an independent finding about encryption or who can access service data.
For an original character, keep your own plain-text record of its identity, personality, opening situation and greeting. Review the chosen visibility before sharing a card. A public profile and a private conversation are different objects; changing one should not be assumed to change the other.
Evaluate access before paying
Before paying, check the current refund and cancellation terms as well as the message allowance. Confirm the current free-message allowance in your account.
If an evaluation allowance is available to your account, use it to answer your main question before paying: does the character’s reply style fit your preferred interaction? Also record the plan, amount, billing interval and renewal conditions shown to your account. A monthly allowance table is not a substitute for the final purchase details.
Choose Cherrypop when character creation is the priority
PepHop’s published message tiers give you a straightforward allowance comparison. Cherrypop is an option to explore when you want to shape the character first, including appearance, personality and the opening scene, then use chat and image or video tools.
For the original restorer idea, open Cherrypop Create, define an adult character and a careful, practical personality, and put the damaged cabinet in Scenario. Make First Message ask for a specific observation. Additional Personality Details can describe how the restorer explains uncertainty instead of supplying a long, vague biography.
Cherrypop is free to start with limits. Some features require Premium and Cherries, and media operations should be checked for their displayed cost. If you want to begin with that guided setup, build your character in Cherrypop. If your main requirement is a specific PepHop message budget, choose the smallest plan that covers the usage and features you actually need.
