Sakura AI’s paid tiers answer two different questions: whether you need more chat access, and whether you want the additional model features being advertised. If a daily message cap is the problem, paying for the highest memory label is not automatically necessary. If you would rather start by shaping your own character, Cherrypop’s creator is another workflow to consider.
Sakura AI: free access, Sage and paid plans
The Sakura+ page presents free access and a Sage application through Discord for community support, alongside Diamond and Infinite. It acknowledges a daily limit on free messages without stating a universal numeric quota. Sage is an application route, not automatic approval.
| Option | Displayed monthly amount | What the page advertises |
|---|---|---|
| Free / Sage application | No quoted paid price | Free messages; application for additional access through the community program |
| Diamond | US$19 | No daily message cap, Dragonfruit model and Fusion response options |
| Infinite | US$39, marked as a sale | Diamond features plus Glowing Dragonfruit and a memory feature marketed as Infinite Memory |
Those are the displayed monthly offers, not verified account checkout or renewal quotes. The page also offers yearly billing; do not assume its monthly-equivalent figure is the amount charged at checkout. We did not verify the sale’s expiry or the later renewal amount.
Which upgrade solves your actual problem?
At the displayed monthly prices, Infinite costs US$20 more than Diamond. Over three months at unchanged displayed rates, the difference would be US$60. This is a comparison of the offers we saw, not a three-month contract or a prediction that the offer will stay available.
If your sole reason to pay is avoiding the daily message limit, the advertised Diamond entitlement already addresses that need. If you specifically want the additional Infinite features, those extras must justify the incremental spend for you. A higher tier is not required merely because it exists.
| Your reason for considering Sakura | Decision that follows |
|---|---|
| Occasional conversations | Begin with available free access and learn whether the limit matters to your actual use. |
| You repeatedly reach the daily cap | Compare the lowest offer that removes the cap before paying for other features. |
| You want more response choices | Treat the advertised response-mode access as the relevant feature, rather than assuming it guarantees better writing. |
| You want reliable continuity | Judge continuity separately from the name of a paid memory feature; this review has not measured it. |
The distinction becomes clearer with an example. Imagine continuing a mystery with a 35-year-old stage designer named Elise. Message access determines how much you can continue the exchange. Response options affect the choices offered during it. Remembering why Elise kept a particular stage key is a different question. None should be used as a substitute measure for the others.
A memory label is not a completed recall test
Sakura’s memory and model-capability labels are vendor descriptions, rather than guarantees of recall. Check how a character handles a corrected fact, a long conversation and a return after several days before deciding which features are worth paying for.
For your own character, retain a short continuity note you can understand: identity, current situation and a handful of established facts. In the Elise example, the stage key is missing, the rehearsal has ended and she thinks the caretaker saw it last. That note is useful creative material even if you later choose another service; it is not proof of a particular import or memory feature.
Renewal and cancellation deserve a separate decision
Sakura’s terms describe recurring subscriptions. Web renewal can be cancelled through account settings or by contacting the company; store purchases use the relevant application store. Cancelling normally leaves access through the paid period. Refunds are a separate question, with legal requirements and store rules potentially applying.
The terms also state that backups are not guaranteed against loss and ask users to keep an independent copy of their content. Paid access should therefore not be treated as your only archive for an original character. Sakura’s support page directs people to its Discord support channel for help.
Where Cherrypop fits
Cherrypop is worth trying when the character’s design and opening interaction are your main decisions. Its creator offers realistic and anime styles alongside appearance and personality controls. Scenario, First Message and Additional Personality Details let you define how the conversation begins.
For Elise, set the empty theater as the scenario, introduce the missing key in the first message, and describe her observant, dryly humorous manner in the personality details. Cherrypop’s creator lets you organize those parts before beginning the conversation.
Cherrypop also offers separate image and video creation workflows. It is free to start with limits; relevant features require Premium or Cherries. If creating a character is your next step, build that character on Cherrypop before deciding which paid features matter to the experience you want.
