To cancel a Candy AI subscription, sign in, open My Profile, choose Settings, then use Unsubscribe and complete the confirmation prompts. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not automatically refund a payment or delete your account. Treat those as separate goals.
How to cancel Candy AI subscription renewal
Start in the Candy account that holds the subscription. A different email or sign-in method can lead you to an account without the purchase, which makes any billing problem harder to diagnose.
- Open My Profile, then Settings.
- Find the subscription details and the Unsubscribe control near the bottom.
- Follow the remaining confirmation prompts rather than stopping after the first click.
- Save the final status, the date you canceled and the displayed access end date.
- Keep the original receipt until the next expected renewal date has passed.
That is the route in Candy’s official cancellation help article; the wording on your screen may differ. The important result is a subscription that will not renew, not simply an account you can no longer open.
If the control is missing, contact Candy’s customer support through your account or at [email protected], the address listed in its terms. Give the account email, purchase date and receipt identifier. Say explicitly that you want future renewal canceled. Do not send your password, full card number or a screenshot containing unrelated personal information.
Decide which problem you are solving
| Your goal | Action to request | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Stop the next subscription charge | Cancel renewal | A refund of the current charge |
| Recover an eligible recent payment | Submit a separate refund request | Automatic approval or immediate bank settlement |
| Close your account | Follow the account-deletion process | A refund or removal of every legally retained record |
| Investigate an unexpected payment | Ask support to identify the transaction and subscription | That deleting the app will resolve it |
A useful order is to identify the purchase, stop renewal, save the confirmation and then handle refunds or deletion. This preserves the account information you may need to explain the payment. If you already deleted the account, Candy’s help article about continued charges says successful deletion before the renewal date also cancels active subscriptions. If another charge appears, ask support to investigate using your original account email and payment reference.
If you also want to delete the account, Candy documents My Profile > Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account, followed by confirmation. Its help page says preferences, usage history and associated personal information become permanently unavailable to you, while some records are retained for legally required periods. Save permitted personal records first; deletion is not necessary just to stop renewal.
When does paid access end?
Candy’s cancellation-and-refund help article and section 10.1 of its terms say paid access continues through the current billing period after cancellation, with no charge for the following period. The end date should come from your own subscription details. Canceling a yearly plan does not itself entitle you to a prorated refund. Section 10.2 adds that a processed refund revokes premium access and remaining tokens immediately.
For example, suppose the account displays an access end date of October 20. A cancellation on October 4 should be evaluated against that displayed date and the renewal status. The example is not a promise about your entitlement; it shows which two fields matter. Record both instead of assuming that a successful cancellation must immediately remove all premium features.
If access disappears earlier than the date shown, send support the confirmation and subscription receipt. If a charge appears later, compare the transaction date with the cancellation date and distinguish a new payment from an already pending transaction before describing the issue.
Requesting a refund is a separate step
For subscription payments, Candy’s refund help page describes a general window of 24 hours after payment, no more than 20 tokens used and payment by card. It excludes technical problems on the user’s side. Its cancellation-and-refund article says you must contact support; cancellation alone does not issue money back.
For EU and UK residents, section 10.4.3 describes a 14-day withdrawal period for the initial purchase, excluding subscription renewals, with a deduction for services consumed. Separately purchased token packs have different conditions in section 10.4.2, including no token use. Do not apply the subscription’s 20-token threshold to those purchases.
If you want a refund, send the request promptly and avoid further token spending while it is being considered. Ask support which rule applies to your purchase and location. Eligibility is not a guarantee of approval; this guide reports Candy’s published policy and does not determine your legal rights.
A concise request can read: “Please review this payment for a refund and confirm that renewal is canceled. My account email is [email], the payment date is [date], and the transaction reference is [reference]. Please tell me whether additional information is needed.”
Keep the support reply and any refund reference. A message acknowledging your request is not the same as approval, and approval is not the same as the bank showing the credit. Ask which stage has been completed if the answer is unclear.
What happens to unused tokens?
Candy’s published pages conflict on this point. The returning-to-Free help article saved September 29 says the balance remains hidden on a free account and returns after resubscribing. We could not reload it on October 1. Section 10.2 of the terms says remaining tokens expire and become unusable when a canceled subscription’s paid period ends.
Because those statements lead to different spending decisions, do not assume the more favorable one governs your account. Ask support to confirm in writing what happens to your particular balance and purchase type before the paid term ends. Include whether the tokens came with the subscription or were purchased separately. This guide cannot resolve the conflict from the public pages alone.
You do not need to buy another month merely to ask that question. Nor should you make unwanted purchases or consume content solely to exhaust a balance. Decide what you actually want, retain the relevant records and make the request specific.
A final billing check
Before considering the task complete, look for three pieces of evidence: renewal is disabled, the paid access end date is understood, and any refund request has a separate status. If you also requested deletion, keep its confirmation separately from the cancellation receipt.
Common cancellation questions
Does canceling mean I get a refund?
No. Candy’s help center explicitly separates cancellation from a refund request. Canceling addresses the next renewal. Ask support about the specific payment you want reviewed.
Should I delete my account first?
You do not need to delete the account to cancel renewal. Candy says successful deletion before renewal also cancels an active subscription, but it removes your account access. Keep any billing records first and contact support if a later charge conflicts with that policy.
Can I keep using the subscription after canceling?
The terms say ordinary cancellation preserves access until the paid period ends. A processed refund ends premium access immediately. Check your account’s end date and refund status.
Can I rely on unused tokens returning later?
The help article and terms disagree. Request written clarification for your balance before making that assumption.
