Cherrypop.ai publishes this OurDream AI review, and we make a competing AI companion app. We paid for OurDream’s Premium Monthly plan ourselves, ran a structured chat test on it in August 2026 and checked its plans, billing and character creator on September 27, 2026; here is exactly what we checked.
Verdict: OurDream AI review in short
OurDream’s characters had distinct, lively voices in our chat tests, but did not always follow instructions or the pace we requested. Default chat cost us no coins on Premium in the benchmark turns with balance records. Images, video and voice cost coins; their quantities determine whether Premium, top-ups or Deluxe fits.
- Best for: text-first roleplayers who want a large community character library.
- Skip it if: you need unlimited media, strict adherence to your instructions, or a policy that excludes training on your data.

How we tested
- Plan: Premium Monthly, paid with our own money. 1,000 coins landed on August 27, 2026.
- August 2026: two structured, non-graphic roleplay benchmarks on standard models: a 15-session run, and a deliberately selected panel of six library characters where our test persona asked for a slow build and for the character to ask before any touch.
- September 27, 2026: the subscription page, the Premium and Deluxe upgrade pages, the coin store, the cancellation link, the referral offer, the character creator and a “Design with AI” character built from a written description.
What we did not test: image, video or voice output quality, long-term memory, Deluxe features, the free tier, a refund request or actually cancelling. Those facts come from OurDream’s help center and policies.
Pricing and plans (with the math)
OurDream has two subscription tiers, each billed monthly or yearly. Here are the plans from the upgrade pages we checked on September 27, 2026, and the help center:
| Plan | Price | Coins | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium Monthly | $19.99/month | 1,000 a month | “Unlimited messages” |
| Premium Yearly | $9.99/month, billed $119.88 | 1,000 a month + 1,000 instant bonus | Same features, half the price |
| Deluxe Monthly | $59.99/month | 5,000 a month | “Free thinking models”, “3x chat memory” |
| Deluxe Yearly | $29.99/month, billed $359.88 | 5,000 a month + 5,000 instant bonus | Same as Deluxe Monthly |

The upgrade page does not define “Free thinking models” or “3x chat memory”. OurDream’s coin guide lists a 1-coin charge per Genius-class reply, but the reviewed sources do not establish whether Deluxe waives it. Ask which models and charges the offer covers before choosing Deluxe for that benefit.
Coin packs
Top-ups cost $11.99 for 1,000 coins, $49.99 for 5,000 ($10 per 1,000) and $159.99 for 20,000 ($8 per 1,000). The store offered card payment, with crypto under “More Payment Methods”. The help center says you can only buy coins while subscribed.

What a coin actually costs you
- Premium Yearly: 13,000 coins in year one for $119.88, about $9.22 per 1,000.
- Deluxe Yearly: about $5.54 per 1,000 only if the 5,000 bonus is additional to 12 monthly deposits (65,000 total). Without that bonus, 60,000 costs $6 per 1,000. Deposit timing is not established.
- Deluxe Monthly: about $12 per 1,000, similar to the smallest pack. Compare its extra features and full commitment, not just coins.
Standard-model chat used no coins in the logged benchmark turns. The official rate card charges 1 coin per Genius reply, 50 per minute of voice, and 1,200 for a 60-second standard video. One such video exceeds Premium’s 1,000 monthly coins. Compare the amount you actually want to make with the plan allowance and top-up price; a weekly habit alone does not establish that Deluxe saves money.
OurDream’s help pages still conflict on coin survival after cancellation, checked October 1: one says coins do not expire; another limits them to the paid period. Ask support to confirm your balance type before relying on either. Do not consume unwanted content just to empty the balance.
Creating a character
You get two ways in. The main creator is a visual wizard of about six steps: choose female, male or trans, realistic or anime, then work through appearance and personality. The faster route is “Design with AI”: pick a style and gender, describe the character in plain text, and press “Generate Character”, which costs 5 coins.

We tried it on September 27 with the same short description we used in our Character AI review: a realistic woman who runs a bookshop. Our balance went from 963 to 958 coins, confirming the 5-coin price. The tool turned the text into the same structured fields the wizard uses (body type, skin, eyes, hair, an image model called “Fusion”) plus personality tags such as Bookshop Owner, Sarcastic and Intellectual, with eight more. You can edit a filled-in form instead of starting blank. We stopped before saving it. The 5 coins cover the Generate step; the coin guide lists 10 coins to create a chatbot, including its first two images, and 5 per image reroll, so check the cost your account shows before you save.
Public characters go through a manual review queue. The help center’s newer FAQ (August 2026) says it usually takes 3 to 5 days, and only premium accounts can submit them.
Chat quality and memory
Replies were OurDream’s strongest point in both August benchmarks. In the 15-session run, characters proposed concrete next actions instead of vague filler and sounded recognizably different from each other. The six library characters’ greetings ranged from 165 to 2,212 words, so some open with a line, others with a novella.
The weak point was control. Across that run’s 45 replies we logged:
- 6 agency or scene-jump flags: the character acted for us or skipped ahead in the scene.
- 5 exact-instruction failures: a clear, specific request was not followed.
- 3 unsupported user-attribute flags: the character invented history or traits for us that we never gave it.
The second run used six different library characters, up to nine messages each. Only two of the six chats ran all nine messages; the other four ended before a normal conversation could develop. Across its 19 replies, strong voice and poor boundaries showed up in the same chats: a lively, in-character reply could still make up a shared past or touch before asking, against the preference we had stated. At times a character recalled our request for slow pacing, then touched before permission one turn later. Both complete chats reached our stop check, and one of the two stopped cleanly.
Both were small panels, not platform-wide rates.
On memory, a short benchmark is not enough to judge. OurDream markets pinned memories, and Deluxe advertises “3x chat memory”, which suggests Premium’s memory window is the smaller one. Published user reviews were split, with some complaining of “broken pinned memories” and characters repeating themselves in long chats.
Images, video and voice
We did not rate media output, so this section is from OurDream’s help center. Subscribers can generate images in chat or in a separate generator, edit images, make videos up to 60 seconds, add audio and make voice calls. Its help center says image and video generation need a subscription. The coin guide (edited March 2, 2026) lists:
| Action | Coins | With Premium’s 1,000 |
|---|---|---|
| In-chat image | 5 each | 200 images |
| Standard image generation | 10 per 2 images | 200 images |
| Image edit | 10 or 20 | 50 to 100 edits |
| Voice call | 50 per minute | 20 minutes |
| Standard video | 100 per 5 seconds | 50 seconds |
| Ultra quality video | 200 per video | 5 videos |
| Add audio to video | 20 per second | 50 seconds |
Per the help center, coins for failed generations come back automatically. Its help center says it does not allow reference-photo uploads “due to possible deepfakes and other legal problems,” so you cannot build a character from a real photo. If your subscription lapses, your images and videos are blurred until you resubscribe, so download what you want to keep.
Safety, privacy and billing
Cancelling
On September 27 the subscription page was dominated by a large “Upgrade Your Plan” banner pushing yearly and Deluxe. “Cancel Subscription” was a small plain-text link at the very bottom. We did not click through it; the help center says a confirmation step follows. The layout steers you toward spending more. Per the help center, you keep access until the period ends and there is no automatic refund.
Refunds
The help center refuses refunds once more than 25% of a purchase has been used, and monthly plans once their coins are spent; yearly plans “may be eligible for full or partial refund.” The formal refund policy (March 9, 2026) adds a 14-day window for defects, handled case by case, and a 14-day withdrawal right for EEA, UK and Swiss buyers. Crypto payments are final, and filing a chargeback without contacting support first “may result in suspension of your account.”
Privacy
OurDream’s homepage FAQ says: “Your chats are safe with end-to-end encryption… No one can read them, not even us.” Its privacy policy (March 9, 2026) describes encryption “at rest and in transit”, which is standard server-side encryption, not end-to-end. The information it collects includes “chat communications,” and per the policy it may use collected information “to train our artificial intelligence/machine learning models.” Its safety center also says automated classifiers “process all content on the platform,” including private chats, with humans seeing only flagged or reported content. Use a separate email and keep identifying details out of chats. More in is OurDream AI safe.
Account deletion is permanent, takes 24 to 48 hours, and wipes chats, generations and unused coins without a refund.
Who runs OurDream
Three named companies run it: Dream Studio USA, Inc. (Delaware), Dream Studio LLC (New Mexico) and Tektopia Ltd (Cyprus, HE 473775). Two cautions: lookalike sites such as ourdream-ai.uk and our-dream-ai.me are separate businesses, and OurDream says it has no mobile app, so an app store listing under its name is not official. Its Trustpilot profile was also removed; as of September 27, 2026 the page says the business “goes against our guidelines and is no longer visible on Trustpilot.”
Pros and cons
Pros
- Lively, distinct character voices with concrete next actions in our test
- Default text chat cost us zero coins in every benchmark chat we logged
- “Design with AI” turns a paragraph into a filled-in character draft for 5 coins
- Captured yearly subscription prices are half twelve monthly payments
- Public coin price list, and failed generations are refunded
- Named companies with full published policies
Cons
- Characters acted for us, invented our history and ignored exact instructions in our test
- 1,000 coins cover 20 minutes of voice or under a minute of video
- Deluxe’s “Free thinking models” and “3x chat memory” are not explained on the plan page
- Cancel link buried under a large upgrade banner
- “End-to-end encryption” claim is not what the privacy policy describes
- Tight refund rules, final crypto payments, media blurred after you lapse
How it compares to Cherrypop
Cherrypop.ai covers the same ground: uncensored AI chat and roleplay with a large catalog of ready-made characters (female, male and trans, realistic and anime), a create-your-own wizard, and AI images of your character, including NSFW. It has a free tier, so you can try it before paying, and it runs in any mobile browser with no app to install. It is 18+ only, with age checks where the law requires them; see the site for pricing. We have not run this benchmark on Cherrypop, so we are not claiming it beats OurDream on chat quality.

Who should pick OurDream, and who should skip it
Consider it for text roleplay with community characters. The captured Premium Yearly offer averages $9.99 monthly, but requires $119.88 up front. A shorter commitment can be preferable while you judge whether the chat fits.
Skip it if you need unlimited media, exact compliance with your boundaries, or a privacy policy that excludes training. Crypto payments also leave fewer refund options under its published policy.
